Measured by the status collector running on the same machine as the gameservers. It shows how quickly the local gameserver process answers through its query port — not your connection latency. Some checks use 127.0.0.1 and others the machine's own public IP. Steam A2S is only the query protocol; no central Steam service is contacted.
